The pre-race registration and festivities for the Kathmandu Coast to Coast is shifting to one of the West Coast’s major hubs, Greymouth, in time for the 2020 event.
Leading outdoor brand Kathmandu has reconfirmed its commitment to New Zealand’s most iconic adventure race, the Kathmandu Coast to Coast, by re-signing as the events naming rights partner for a further three years.
“Kathmandu are proud to continue as title sponsors of iconic New Zealand adventure race, Kathmandu Coast to Coast,” said Kathmandu’s General Manager of Marketing Paul Stern.
“We have been designing and testing outdoor gear in Canterbury since 1987, so it is great to support a race in our home region. As a Brand we want to inspire and enable adventure for everyone and this race, the Kathmandu Coast to Coast, is a perfect opportunity for people to challenge themselves, get outdoors an adventure,” he added.
Race Director Glen Currie says he couldn’t be more delighted with the partnership, which will allow the event to continue to grow whilst maintaining its commitment to sustainability and dedication to the environment. “We’re outdoor enthusiasts and so are Kathmandu, our values meet on so many levels and to continue to have Kathmandu’s backing is really exciting.”
Despite there being over 200 days to go until the 2020 Kathmandu Coast to Coast, the banter is ramping up amongst the Kane family, who will line up in a 3-person relay team, 33 years after mum Jo first took on the iconic multisport event.
